Friday was Racing Day, showing off the fast Indy cars with the glitz and glamor of the auto show.
DETROIT (FOX 2) - The Detroit Auto Show offered a little taste of adrenaline to those willing, on Friday.
Friday was Racing Day, showing off the fast Indy cars with the glitz and glamor of the auto show.
There are a handful of interactive experiences that attendees can take part in like having professional driver take you around an obstacle course.

But Friday brought something extra - a lucky few got to ride shotgun with a professional race car driver in the new Corvette E-Ray hybrid pace cars.
"We'll have five drivers here today, they will be signing autographs," said Michael Montri, the Detroit Grand Prix president. "You can get in a car and ride around the Detroit Grand Prix race track here inside the Huntington Place Center, It will be an exciting day."
Race Day showcased all things IndyCar, a sport that continues to grow.
"The access that you get in our series to all the drivers, I keep telling people it's like going to a Lions game and walking into the locker room at halftime and talking to all the players."
If you missed Race Day or you are just a huge IndyCar fan, FOX 2 is the new home of IndyCar racing. From March to August you can watch all the races on FOX including the Detroit Grand Prix.
