Suspect in road rage shooting on Joy Road turns self in

Detroit police have the suspected shooter in custody after the incident which left a victim wounded in the head and in critical condition earlier today.

A road rage shooting has left a man wounded in the head Thursday afternoon on Detroit's west side and is in very critical condition, police said.

As of 6 p.m. DPD say the suspected shooter has turned himself in.  The shooting took place in the 13700 block of Joy Road near Shaefer at about 3 p.m.

A witness told FOX 2 the crash happened in the middle of the street, leading to the shooting.

"I just seen a body on the ground, that's all," she said. "I didn't hear too much, just screaming and yelling."
