UPDATE (11/9): On Thursday, Scottsdale Police officials released an update on an home invasion and abduction incident.

According to Sgt. Ben Hoster, the victim, a 94-year-old woman, is still recovering from her injuries at a local hospital, and is expected to make a full recovery.

Scottsdale Police officials have also released a sketch of the suspect. Anyone with information should call Scottsdale Police.

An investigation is underway in Scottsdale, after police said a 94-year-old woman was bound and placed in the trunk of a car.

According to Scottsdale Police, the incident happened at approximately 6:00 a.m., when an unknown male forced his way into the woman's home, bound her, placed her in the trunk of her car, and drove away from the scene.

The woman, according to Scottsdale Police, was able to free herself at around 1:30 p.m. at a Scottsdale Fashion Square parking lot. A passerby who saw the woman later called 911. The woman was then taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Police said they are thankful of the weather conditions on Tuesday.

"If this was a mid-summer day, her condition would have been much worse," said Sgt. Ben Hoster with Scottsdale Police. "Luckily, it's overcast and much cooler, so she was able to survive this incident."

The suspect is described by Scottsdale Police as a "clean cut" white male in his mid-30. Anyone with information should call Scottsdale Police at (480) 312-5000.
