REDFORD TWP., Mich. (WJBK) - A sketch was released Friday of a man who a Redford Township teen says assaulted and almost abducted him Thursday morning.
The 13-year-old boy says a man with the appearance of the picture above approached him as he walked to school.
He was heading down Kinloch just south of the intersection with Grove near 6 Mile Road and Beech Daly when he was approached by a blue car.
The driver asked if he wanted a ride and the boy declined. That's when police say the man got out of the car and grabbed the teen by the wrist. He was able to pull away and run to school to report what had happened.
The man is described as white, in his 40's, 6'1" tall, with medium build and gray beard. He was wearing a black hoodie and black hat and was driving a blue 4-door car, with front-end damage and black rims.
Anyone with information is asked to call (313) 387-2555 and refer to case #17-07002. Police are also hoping someone in the nearby neighborhoods has home security video of the car.
