The Southfield Fire Department is investigating an apartment fire that happened in the 23200 block of Riverside Saturday night.

Authorities say crews were dispatched to the Sutton Place Apartments around 11:30 p.m. Upon arriving, crews witnessed flames coming through the roof.

The fire was too large for the city of Southfield to handle, so other city fire departments were called to assist, authorities say.

No one was injured, and an investigative team is at the scene trying to figure out the cause.
