The Southfield Police Department has released surveillance pictures of a puppy and the man who police say stole the dog during a home invasion in early April.

Southfield Police said they were called to the Cambridge Square Apartments on Greenfield just south of 11 Mile to a home invasion. Several items were stolen including jewelry, small electronics, a 43-inch Vizio TV, and a 55-inch Samsung TV.

But the most precious item stolen was a 9-month-old brown and white American Bully named Gucci.

Surveillance video captured the crime and police released pictures on May 22, 6 weeks after the burglary.

Police said the suspect is a black man, standing 6'0", heavy set, bald, with a mustache and goatee and pierced ears. They said he forced the front door open to get inside the apartment.

Anyone who recognizes the dog or the man is asked to call Southfield Police Department at 248-796-5500.
