Still no answers one year after Christina Samuel's murder
DETROIT - It's been one year since a college student -- home for the holidays -- was gunned down in Detroit.
For Chris Samuel, the hustle and bustle of the season is replaced with heartache and agony.
"In my sister's case one year to the day shortly after midnight not one arrest," he said. "No person of interest, nothing.
"My sister was just an angel. she was really an angel. Never had an enemy in the world."
Chris has not hung any decorations for the holiday. In fact the only thing adorning the wall inside his house his sister Christina's diploma.
She just graduated and was set to start law school in January when she was shot and killed while sitting in a car outside her friend's house on Carlisle street last year.
"Somebody can help, someone knows exactly what happened," Chris said.
Justice won't do anything to replace the loss Chris and his family feels. But it may help the sleepless nights and he's holding out hope peace will come soon.
"In the beginning we were told these things take some time," he said. "Sometimes a couple years. whenever it comes it will be a good day."
