A store owner previously in critical condition has died after being shot during a robbery Monday morning.

Police say around 11 a.m., two suspects entered the auto parts store in the 12000 block of Coyle Street on the city's northwest side.

Police say the men demanded money, and the store owner, who has not yet been named, handed over a bag of money. Police say one of the suspects then shot the store owner in the chest and then they took off.

The man's son, also an employee, called 911. The victim, a man in his 60s, was in the hospital in critical condition where he later died.

Police don't have much of a description of the suspects at this time. They say it was two black men wearing dark clothes and ski masks.

Police couldn't say how much money was in the bag.
