Most severe thunderstorm warnings issued for part of SE Michigan were canceled Friday night.
Severe storms were located from Imlay City to Rochester at 8:21 p.m. moving east. Many weakened, while much of the metro area experienced some wind, light rain and lightning.
Areas of Howell Township were hardest hit by the band of storms with power outages with about 1,500 to 2,500 customers north of M-59 in the dark, according to DTE.

Unseasonably warm temperatures resulted in the thunderstorms Friday, while a chance for a cold blast of winter is expected this weekend.

At 7:23 p.m. severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Leslie to near Addison moving northeast at 80 miles per hour.
The storm will have gusts of wind up to 60 miles per hour.
