Student hit by car, critically injured while walking home from Stoney Creek High School in Rochester Hills
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (FOX 2) - A senior at Stoney Creek High School is in critical condition after she was hit by a car while walking home Monday.
Elisa Volcic was attempting to cross Tienken Road near Clear Creek Drive in Rochester Hills just after 2:30 p.m. when she was hit by a student who is a junior at Stoney Creek.

Authorities said the 16-year-old driver was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. They do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, which happened about a mile from the school.
According to a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for Volcic's recovery, she had surgery Tuesday to relieve pressure on her brain. She is still unresponsive and the full extent of her injuries is unknown.
