DETROIT (FOX 2) - The 2025 NFL season is officially over. Now all attention turns to the playoffs and Super Bowl 59. It's the biggest game on the planet and the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs have the clearest path to get there. But that's getting ahead of ourselves.
There's a lot of football still to be played before we get to Feb. 9. There are 14 teams left standing with the champion getting to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
When is the Super Bowl?
The Super Bowl is set to be played on Sunday, Feb. 9.
Where will the Super Bowl be played?
Super Bowl LIX will be played at New Orleans' Caesars Superdome.
It will be the 8th time the 50-year-old arena will host the Super Bowl. It most recently hosted the game in 2013 when a partial power failure halted the game between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. The Ravens ultimately won, 34-31.

Its first Super Bowl was back in 1978 when the Dallas Cowboys beat the Denver Broncos 27-10 in Super Bowl XII.
What time is the Super Bowl?
Kickoff for Super Bowl LIX is at 6:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 9.
The game will air in the U.S. on FOX after a six-hour pregame show starting at noon.

Who are the NFC playoff teams?
The Detroit Lions (15-2) are the number seed in the NFC, gaining the first-round bye in the playoffs. The Lions won the NFC North late on Sunday with a 31-9 thumping of the Minnesota Vikings. But three of four teams in the NFC North qualified for the playoffs.

On the other side of the NFL is the Kansas City Chiefs (15-2). The two-time defending Super Bowl champions are looking for the NFL's first-ever three-peat.
Before they can even consider the Super Bowl, they need to get through the rest of the AFC.

Who is performing in the Super Bowl halftime show?
Rapper Kendrick Lamar will be the headliner of Super Bowl 59's halftime show. But this won't be the first time he'll be on stage during a Super Bowl: In 2022, the Los Angeles native joined Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and other West Coast hip-hop stars.
Other stars are likely to join Lamar – just not Drake.
