(WJBK) - A 91 year old man was carjacked in downtown Detroit Friday night. The incident occurred in the parking structure of Greektown hotel.
The 91 year old male victim was walking to his vehicle on the 8th floor of the parking structure when he was robbed.
He was approached by a 24 year old black male. The man was forced to the ground and the suspect took the keys to his car, leaving him with neck and hip pain. The suspect then entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the location.
Taken was a 1995 Red Cadillac Eldorado, but after an immediate investigation the suspect was identified, located and arrested in Taylor Michigan. The suspect was transported to Detroit Detention Center for processing.
The car was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
