SUV flees Macomb sheriffs deputy, flips vehicle

(FOX 2) - Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the single-vehicle crash in Macomb County after a suspect fled police in Harrison Township early Wednesday morning.
Dashcam footage from the deputy's patrol vehicle caught the moment the officer found the vehicle, flipped upside down in a yard with smoke rising from the engine.
Prior to the crash, officers had gotten a call around 3 a.m. about a dispute between neighbors where one homeowner said the other was causing a disturbance.
The individual had previously interacted with police and had outstanding felony warrants.
When they spotted him, he was driving in a GMC Yukon on Joy Boulevard in Harrison Township. When officers attempted to pull him over, he fled before briefly losing control and going into a ditch.
He managed to regain control and reentered the roadway before driving in the opposite direction. Police lost sight of him before coming across the Yukon flipped upside down.
The fire department moved him to a local hospital for injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
