A man suspected of flashing children in a Detroit neighborhood is recovering in the hospital after being shot.

Witnesses tell police the man in his late 20s was exposing himself to children Friday night in the 15400 block of Chatham, which is near the intersection of Lahser Road and Fenkell Avenue on Detroit's west side. The neighbors began to complain.

That's when a man got into an argument with the suspected flasher, shot him in the chest and ran off.

The suspected flasher is listed in temporary serious condition. The shooter is still on the loose, but police say they believe they know who the man is.
