Syfy's 'Ghost Hunters' comes to Detroit's Whitney in latest episode

DETROIT (WJBK) - It is more than a century old - we all know Detroit's Whitney restaurant has a long history - but does it also have ghosts?

The Syfy channel's "Ghost Hunters" think so.

They investigated the Detroit mansion airing their findings on a new episode Wednesday night. The Whitney even hosted a viewing party. But what does the owner of the Whitney think?

"There has been a lot of activity," said Bud Libler. "People report seeing things and hearing things. We have some pictures and some little things have happened.

"I still don't know if there's really ghosts. I really don't. But I would be more of a 'yes' now, as opposed to a 'no' 10 years ago."

Libler also says staff members have reported strange things on occasion. And around Halloween they hold a séance each year.
