The Tac Light: a glowing review or lights out?
(WJBK) - Tired of that old heavy flashlight?
It's big and dim and if you drop it, you're in the dark. But now it's time to see the light - the Tac Light!
The "military grade, high performance" flashlight is said to be so bright, it can blind an attacker with its scary strobe feature.
And the Tac Light is tough, according to their commercial; they run it over with a truck; stick it in boiling water; and it even stays lit while frozen in block of ice.
Will the Tac Light get a glowing review? Or is this high-fallutin' flashlight just a flash in the pan?
Will it get "Fame or Shame!?"
Seth and Jack have a couple of crummy old flashlights. You know Seth, he's a reality TV star from Hardcore Pawn. You don't know Jack, but Rob Wolchek does. He's his 17-year-old son.
Wolchek shows our testers the commercial for the Tac Light.
"You never know when you're going to drop a flashlight in boiling water," Seth says.
Then we break out the Tac Lights - and so far they're impressed.
"If you're wearing the wristband, it won't ever drop into boiling water anyway," Jack says. "Look at that, they think of everything."
There's just one switch on the Tac Light but there are five settings: high mode, medium, low, strobe and SOS.
Rob Wolchek and his testers try freezing the light, drive a FOX 2 news truck over it, and drop it in a pot of boiling water and more.
Watch his report in the video player above to see Jack and Seth put the Tac Light to the test and whether it gets Fame ... or Shame.
