OXFORD, MICH (Fox 2) - Three people were shot shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve when a "major incident" happened on Ray Road between Lapeer and N. Oxford Roads.
That area is near Oxford High School, but no information currently available indicates that the school was involved.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office confirmed that one person was arrested, and a gun was recovered shortly after the shooting.
"We are asking that people stay out of the area while the major incident is being processed. The area is an active crime scene. It is believed there is no further danger to the public," OCSO Public Information Officer Steve Huber said in a statement.
