Three killed in shooting at west side Detroit White Castle
Three people were killed early Sunday morning in a shooting at a White Castle on the west side of Detroit, police said.
The shooting happened at 12:22 A.M. Sunday at the White Castle restaurant at the corner of West Warren Avenue and Livernois Avenue on the city's west side.
According to notification from the Detroit Police Department, officers responded the the restaurant and found three male victims suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the lobby of the restaurant.
They believe the three victims were inside of the lobby of the restaurant when 2 suspects came inside and shot the three victims.
Police say the victims are 20, 24, and 25-years-old.
Handguns were also recovered from inside the lobby area, where windows of the restaurant were shot out.
White Castle's Vice President Jaime Richardson sent FOX 2 the following statement:
“As a family owned business, our number one priority and concern is the safety of our neighborhoods. We are working very closely with local law enforcement to support efforts as the investigation of this tragic and troubling event continues. We are thankful for the first responders who rushed to the scene and we are thankful none of our team members were physically harmed. We are providing our team access to counseling support.”
Police do not have any further information the suspects or suspect vehicle and continue investigating.
