Travis Kelce's star continues to rise.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, who's also dating singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, will make an appearance in the upcoming Adam Sandler movie, "Happy Gilmore" sequel.

Sandler confirmed the exciting news during a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon."

Variety reported the film made nearly $40 million at the worldwide box office in 1996 which made Sandler one of the biggest comedy stars of the decade.

Who is Travis Kelce?

Kelce, who was chosen by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 draft, already is their career leader with 11,328 yards receiving. He needs eight receptions to reach 917 and pass Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez for that record, and three touchdown catches would give him 77, dropping Gonzalez to No. 2 on that franchise list.

Most importantly, Kelce has helped Kansas City win back-to-back Super Bowls and three titles in the past five years.

Swift began dating Kelce after he said on his "New Heights" podcast that he had tried and failed to give her a friendship bracelet during her performance at Arrowhead Stadium. Kelce then invited her to watch him perform at the home of the Chiefs, and she surprisingly showed up for their Week 2 game against Chicago.

Kelce goes Hollywood

Kelce is no stranger to acting in front of the camera.

The NFL player joined the cast of "Grotesquerie" on FX. The series is a horror drama from Ryan Murphy, but a spokesperson for the network says it is not under the "American Horror Story" umbrella.
