Trey Songz arrested after concert in Detroit after throwing things from stage at Joe Louis Arena

Trey Songz was arrested Wednesday night after a concert in Detroit at Joe Louis Arena, Detroit police said.

The 32-year-old artist performed at the Joe as a part of the "Big Show at the Joe." But when it came time for him to end his performance, he refused to leave the stage and started throwing things from the stage.

Police said the performer, whose legal name is Tremaine Neverson, became belligerent when he was told his performance time was up.

Police said he then began throwing microphones and anything else he could get his hands on, causing Detroit Police officers to enter the stage, in an attempt to calm the situation.

A Detroit Police sergeant was hit by an object thrown by the artist and suffered a concussion. The sergeant has since been released from the hospital.

Neverson was placed under arrest for malicious destruction of property and resisting and obstructing arrest. He's being held at the Detroit Detention Center.
