DETROIT - Two people are dead and a third seriously injured after a home is firebombed on the city's east side.
A source told FOX 2 this was "retaliation" for a fight that happened earlier.
Keith Singletary had a feeling something bad was about to happen to his brother, 23-year-old James Jordan.
"It was a senseless act of violence," he said. "A senseless act of jealousy."
Jordan was staying in a house with his girlfriend, at the corner of Hoyt and Manning on the city's east side. Sources say someone firebombed the house early Monday morning, after an argument that was heard throughout the neighborhood.
Singletary says, that argument was with Jordan's ex-girlfriend, and mother of one of his children.
"It is senseless," he said. "At any other time there could have been kids in this house. There are kids that live here."
According to his brother, Jordan had three children with two different women. He had just moved in with his new girlfriend, sparking jealousy, and a surprise overnight visit.
"I was not there for that argument," he said. "I did not see a fight, I heard about it. I did not see it personally, myself. I doesn't matter what happened. No one deserves to die like that."
Detroit police say they have people they are interviewing but so far no arrests. A third person is also in the hospital following the fire.

"(Jordan) was a good guy, he took care of his kids he took care of his business," Singletary said. "No one deserves to die like this."
