Two people shot in drive-by at vigil on Detroit's east side
DETROIT (WJBK) - Police are investigating a double shooting at an east side vigil Monday night.
The victims are a 55-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man. Both are expected to survive.
Detroit police say the incident happened at about 8:45 p.m. at a candlelight vigil on the 9200 block of Knodell over a drive-by shooting at a vigil for a fatal shooting.
Sunday night a 23-year-old man was sitting in a black Challenger along the 9200 block of Knodell when someone walked up and fatally shot him in the car.
Monday night, a car drove by the crowd that was holding a vigil on the 9300 hundred block when shots rang out.
