A boil water advisory is continuing for Livonia as crews work to repair two different water main breaks Friday.

On Friday, all Livonia Public Schools are closed due to the advisory. We're told the repairs could take up to four days.

The boil water advisory is connected to two large watermain breaks.

The first one is near I-96 near Middlebelt. The second is in the area of Schoolcraft and Stark.

Earlier, water from the break spilled on to I-96, forcing closures Thursday night but that issue has been resolved. Right now, the service drive alone I-96 east of Middlebelt is closed down while crews work on the line. Drivers should avoid that area.

Those who live in Livonia must boil water for at least one minute then let it cool before use.

Some neighboring cities may also see low to no water pressure.
