(FOX 2) - U.S. Marshals are searching for 39-year-old Tamera Williams. She is on the run and wanted after being accused of killing her boyfriend, David Carter Senior, in Melvindale last fall.
David's body was later found along I-75 in Ohio in October.
"We need to find this fugitive," said US Marshal Supervisory Deputy, Aron Garcia. "She's a threat to community. She's a danger out there to the community. We need to find her."
The US Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Team is asking for the public's assistance. Williams was last seen in October in New York.
"She went from Michigan to Brooklyn New York and that's where the case goes cold," Garcia said. "We have no idea where she went after that.
The family of David Carter, a beloved father, son, brother and coach, has no closure or justice.
"The family is completely devastated," Garcia said. "They're a great family. They got a father, a son, a brother who is gone and no longer there"
Williams goes by the name Tammy, has worked in the medical field and as a travel agent and is associated with the order of the Eastern Stars.
Investigators say she could be anywhere.
"We know she has contacts all over the country with the affiliations she's associated with and we just don't know where she is now," said Garcia.
The Marshals are working with Crime Stoppers and asking anyone with information on her whereabouts to call 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
