VA hosting Downriver events for veterans to learn about benefits
Preventing suicide among military members and veterans

SOUTHGATE, Mich. (FOX 2) - The Veterans Administration is holding two events this month to help vets Downriver learn about their benefits.
Trenton event
VA employees and clinic providers will be at the Downriver CBOC at 1640 W. Fort in Trenton on Friday, Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon.
At this event, veterans can meet with providers to get to know them, enroll in VA healthcare, and receive benefits resources.
Southgate event
VA employees and leadership will be at VFW Post 9283 at 16200 Dix Toledo in Southgate on Monday, Jan. 27 from 3-6 p.m. Then, a veteran town hall will be held at 6 p.m.
During this event, veterans can learn about benefits and vet programs. They will also have the opportunity to ask leaders questions.
