The 14 year old Vincent sisters were walking to school on Detroit's West Side when under the snow they found a wallet.

It had a couple hundred dollars in cash, credit cards and a military ID. They said when they saw that they knew what they had to do.

Strangers brought together by an act of kindness.

“It renews my faith in humanity it really does,” Marc Walsh said.

This week Marc Walsh a disabled Marine Corps veteran dropped his wallet along Ward Street on Detroit's West Side.

“Really heartbroken, I really didn't know what to do,” he said.

It's the route 14 year old twin sisters Makhia and Makyla Vincent take to school, they literally stumbled on the wallet.

“I read the veterans card and I was like I would hate if that was my granddad and that happened to him so I knew we had to return it,” Makyla said.

They thought of their grandpa also a veteran. Marc wasn't home when the girls dropped it off untouched but his security camera captured them. He called FOX 2 hoping we could find them.

“All of the sudden we were all over the news and people are saying thank you for turning it in and everything, it was great,” Makhia said.

And Saturday afternoon we brought them all together, Marc with a generous reward in hand.

“I'm so incredibly grateful, so grateful and humbled,” he said.

The girl's didn't expect this at all they told us they will save most and spend a little. They said it was just the right thing to do.

“I feel really happy and grateful that I could help somebody because I know other people could have kept the money,” Makyla said.
