Watch: Colorado deputy helps Captain America after motorcycle breakdown

Captain America may not break down (superheroes rarely do), but sometimes his motorcycle does.

A man known as the "Colorado Captain" has been "rolling all over the nation on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, supporting charitable causes dressed as our star spangled hero," his website says.

"Cap mounts his Harley and rides daily in order to make a difference in communities across the country at hospitals, rallies, conventions, parades and much more," the Colorado Captain website states.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, Captain was on his way to a children’s hospital to help bring smiles to sick kids when his motorcycle broke down on the side of a Colorado highway.

"Colorado Captain" is saved by a deputy with the Douglas County Sheriffs Office in Colorado

Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy Zach Zepeski heard about the situation and met the "captain" on the side of the road.

He personally paid for a tow truck to come and tow the captain’s Harley while a fellow superhero (or someone costumed as one) came along to give Captain a ride to the children’s hospital’s charity holiday parade.

A grateful captain thanked the officer profusely.

"If your bike got stolen, I would never forgive myself," Zepeski told him.
