Woman barricades herself in bedroom after fatally shooting husband, police say

SOUTHFIELD, Mich (FOX 2) - A barricaded situation in Southfield has ended, after police say a woman fatally shot her husband Sunday. 

Officers arrived at the 21000 block of Winchester around 4 p.m. after reports of a shooting. They say they found the man dead in the kitchen. 

Police say a woman then barricaded herself in a bedroom. 

Around 1 a.m. Monday armed officers were able to get into the home. 

The woman was brought out on a stretcher not long after. 

Police haven't given an update yet on the woman's condition.
