null - Sid Eudy, a two-time World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion, has passed away. He was 63 years old.
WWE confirmed the news Monday of the wrestler’s passing.
"WWE is saddened to learn that Sid Eudy has passed away," the organization wrote on Aug. 26, adding, "Sid was one of the most imposing and terrifying competitors of his generation with a natural charisma that immediately connected with the WWE Universe."
Eudy's son Gunnar also confirmed the news Monday, stating that his father passed away after "battling cancer for several years."
He continued, "He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed."

Eudy performed in professional wrestling under the names Sid Justice, Sid Vicious and Sycho Sid.
Standing at 6'9, Sid gained notoriety in the 80s when he signed with WCW and wrestled with and against some of the biggest names in the industry, including The Steiner Brothers, The Road Warriors and The Four Horseman.
He went on to wrestle in iconic matches, including headlining WrestleMania VIII at WrestleMania XI.

"Known as ‘The Master and Ruler of the World,’ Sid’s reputation as one of the toughest and most thrilling Superstars cemented his legacy in WWE, and his influence can still be seen in wrestling rings around the world," WWE wrote.
