Detroit Lions to play Washington Commanders in Divisional Round of NFC Playoffs

The next Lions game and opponent is set as Detroit seeks a spot in the Super Bowl.

What we know:

Detroit will take on the Washington Commanders this Saturday in the Divisional Round of NFC Playoffs after the Commanders defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. 

The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. Jan. 18 at Ford Field.

The backstory:

The Lions and Commanders have played three playoff matchups against each other in the past – all won by Washington. 

It's the first time the teams will face off this season. Detroit is favored to win by 8 ½ points. 

David Montgomery is expected to return after an injury during week 15 sidelined him. He rushed 775 yards and had 12 touchdowns this season before he was hurt.

Going to Saturday's Detroit Lions game is going to cost you hundreds of dollars at minimum.

As of Monday, one ticket in the standing-only area of Ford Field is going for more than $580, while the cheapest single seat is $650 or more.
