The 2023 Jeep Show & Shine aims to be Michigan's largest gathering of Jeep owners and aficionados. Attendees can look forward to a variety of Jeep-related vendors offering an array of products, delectable treats from Food Trucks, live entertainment, exciting raffles, and the chance to cast their votes for the winners in various Jeep Show & Shine categories. NEW THIS YEAR: Jeep Babes Show & Shine is offering 45 minute tours of Holly Oaks ORV Park during its 2023 Jeep Show & Shine - A Charity Fundraiser for HAVEN Sponsored by Detroit 4Fest. On October 7 from 10am-5pm, skilled jeep drivers will be ready to take guests on a ride that includes some great obstacles and a scenic tour throughout the park. Seats are a donation of $30 each. Contest registrants must be present at the event to be eligible to win. The event encourages donations for entry, although it is not a mandatory requirement. Accepted payment methods for donations are cash, Venmo, or check only. "We are thrilled to announce that all proceeds from the 2023 Jeep Show & Shine will be directly donated to HAVEN. Last year, our community raised an astounding $23,615.49 in monetary funds and supplies for HAVEN, and we are determined to surpass that amount this year and make an even bigger impact on the lives of survivors," said the organizers. Detroit Denim is expanding their product offerings with the launch of a customizable jacket. Customers can choose their fabric, size, torso length, sleeve length, pocket arrangement, and add their name and a personal message to their jacket. They will be celebrating the launch of this new product with a party at their Midtown storefront, located at 4240 Cass Avenue. This event, celebrating all-things-denim-jacket, will be held on Saturday, October 7th from 12pm to 7pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite jacket for a variety of hands-on embellishment opportunities. Complimentary repairs will be offered for all jackets that day, and guests can decorate their jackets through guided hand stitching tutorials, or select a patch to sew on to their jacket. Between 12 and 4, Michigan artist Dana Falconberry will be live chain stitching guests’ names and Michigan wildflowers onto jackets using her vintage Singer 114 machine. “Nearly everyone has a jean jacket in their closet and it is always such a personal garment. We love to see how people have made their jackets their own - from patches, to painting on them, to wearing holes in them from years of use, every denim jacket is unique and tells the story of its wearer,” says Brenna Lane, owner and CEO of Detroit Denim. “And if you don’t have a denim jacket to call your own, we’d love to make one for you.
