Three individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 reported being at Fifth Avenue Royal Oak the evening of June 19, prior to the start of symptoms.

The Proving Grounds Coffee Shop has been in Milford for three years. This January they opened a second location in downtown Royal Oak where Gayle's Chocolates used to be.

Employees are working hard but also working six feet apart and with masks on. They are watching the animals closely that are for the first time living at the zoo minus the 15,000 summer daily visits from humans. 

"We were trying to figure out what we could do to pivot and someone said bingo - and I went, drag queen bingo - that's exactly what would be awesome," said Shaffer of Jim Shaffer and Associates.

She allegedly tried to leave without paying for items at a self-checkout station. She was given a ticket for a misdemeanor.

With the rain pouring on Wednesday, Royal Oak Firefighters were loading up thousands of pounds of food for 400 families.
