Thousands of people moving to the beat of the movement. You get it? It's the music festival at Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit that draws thousands. Now it's the world's longest-running music festival.

The next council meeting is Tuesday where, with a quorum, a decision can be made on whether to vote on reinstating him. Over two hours of public comment led to an emotional statement from Mayor Amer Ghalib who took issue with the City Manager Max Garbarino suspending the police chief. Another officer is also suspended as allegations he made against the chief are investigated.

Detroit police said the incident occurred when officers were doing an investigation at Mettetal and Fullerton at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. That was when they saw two people they were looking for exiting a house. The suspects then got into a vehicle and crashed into one of the Detroit police scout cars. They then drove off from the scene.

According to multiple sources, rapper Trevon Gardner, also known as Skilla Baby, was shot in the area of 8 Mile and Beech Daly. Preliminary information suggests he was allegedly targeted in a black SUV that was shot multiple times, eventually crashing into a building off the road.

The Jewish Federation of Detroit says it's part of a growing anti-Semitic culture. In 2024, their building was vandalized, as well as other properties connected to the Jewish community, including the Max Fisher Federation Building.
