Detroit City Council to vote on expanding ShotSpotter technology Tuesday
A $7 million expansion of technology that would alert police to instances of gunfire and pinpoint the location of the shots is being considered by the city council Tuesday. The ShotSpotter technology has divided the community over concerns it is the best use of millions of dollars to reduce crime.
