Bioretention ponds in Detroit being installed to manage storm water runoff

The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department introduced its Fenkell Stormwater Improvement Project to reduce street flooding and basement backups. About $1.6 million in federal grants will fund the project, which will impact 100 homes.
