Art Therapists push legislation for protection and value in Michigan

Michigan Association of Art Therapy is working towards art therapists being protected and valued in our state. Anyone can say they are providing art therapy in our state with use of creative skills. However, it is not ethical to provide art therapy without being trained as well as certified by a credentialed institution. Through legislation, Art Therapists in Michigan are looking for title protection and licensure.
