Sergeant Santa kicks into gear in Detroit

Christmas came early for some 25 families in Detroit after officers with the police department made stops, bringing toys and presents. The purpose of Sergeant Santa goes beyond just gift-giving however, with a hope it makes more community inroads with neighbors and the department.
