Pontiac Transportation Museum hosts 150 years of automotive history
One of America’s deepest legacies of transportation history, innovation, and accomplishment is in the community of Pontiac, Michigan. While nearby Detroit is known as “The Motor City,” here in Pontiac during the late 19th and early 20th centuries some of the nation’s most successful manufacturers of horse-drawn buggies and carriages evolved into the earliest car and truck companies. Bre Teamer chats with Tim Dye, Executive Director of Pontiac Transportation Museum about the facility and its history.
