Struggling financially, Detroit Zoo readies for reopening while protecting animals from COVID-19
Like most other institutions, the Detroit Zoo is struggling without a consistent stream of visitors traveling to see the enclosures as it remains closed due to COVID-19. While it waits to reopen, staff are studying the animals to see how they react to fewer visitors.
