Cold temperatures kick off new year in metro Detroit alongside passing flurries
(FOX 2) - Yesterday’s snow showers left some snow-covered roads on Thursday morning, but today it's the cold that takes center stage with nothing more than a few passing flurries.
It will be cloudy and breezy, with wind chills stuck in the teens for most of the day.
The cold only gets colder from here, with limited chances for snow over the next three days.
While it’s not record-breaking bitter cold, it’s a noticeable stretch. So far this season, we’ve only had two consecutive 20-degree days, but we’re about to string together over a week of it.
