Single digit wind chills again, with snow on the way

It will be another bitter cold day in Metro Detroit, with single digit wind chills sticking around. And snow is on the way, too. That arrives overnight.

The cold wins again! Wind chills are stuck in the single digits for most of Wednesday.

A few flakes will fly, but nothing of substance today. Our next chance for snow arrives tonight, with showers breaking out late and lingering into Thursday morning, likely impacting the morning commute.

Tuesday snow totals will land on either side of an inch.

Looking ahead, another system arrives Saturday morning, bringing snow and possibly some rain. The rain could cut into snow totals, with current estimates ranging from a coating to 2".

The cold moderates slightly late week, but the coldest air of the season is set to arrive early next week. Monday and Tuesday temps might need to be adjusted even lower. Stay warm!
