Metro Detroit weather: What to expect this weekend, Christmas

DETROIT (FOX 2) - The Christmas warm up is still on tap! 

Highs climb to the 40s Friday and stay there or higher well into next week.

We'll need to get through a bit of rain first. A few showers are possible today, with rain likely tonight. 

Wet weather lingers into Saturday morning before fading by afternoon. 

Dry weather wins for Christmas Eve with the off chance for a Christmas day rain shower before rain becomes likely by night.
