Project Healthy Community helping families thrive

(WJBK) - Helping others runs in the family when it comes to these Amy's Angels.    

Dr. Melvyn Rubenfire and his daughter Karen  founded the nonprofit Project Healthy Community in Detroit. It focuses on enhancing nutrition, well being and education.    

And because of their tireless work to improve the lives of men, women an children they are being honored with a very prestigious award tomorrow.

The Jewish Community Relations Council will present the duo with the 2018 Activist Award at its event Thursday night.
