Man hit on I-96 near M-14 in Livonia after getting out of crashed vehicle on freeway
WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. (FOX 2) - A man suffered injuries Friday morning after he was hit by a vehicle following a crash on I-96.
According to Livonia police, the victim was involved in a four-vehicle crash on eastbound I-96 just east of M-14 around 5:40 a.m. He got out of his vehicle after the crash and was hit by another driver who was slowing for traffic. That driver stopped and is cooperating with police.
The victim suffered serious injuries but is stable, police said. The other people involved in the original crash suffered minor injuries.
The crash led to the closure of I-96 and ramps to the freeway in the area for hours. I-96 reopened around 8:40 a.m.
