Dearborn police conducted interviews in connection with what the school district is calling a hazing incident - but others are calling a sexual assault.

The incident allegedly happened on school grounds at Dearborn Fordson High School early last week.

Students, alumni and concerned citizens gathered Sunday night at the school - where an investigation has been underway after a locker room hazing incident involving members of the junior varsity football team last Monday after school.

According to sources its alleged one teen - naked in the locker room - simulated a sex act on another teen. Two other teammates are accused of holding the victim down.

"At no point should you be not wearing any clothes and running around and touching other people - that's not what a locker room is meant for," said Mohamed Hacham.

Hacham, a Fordson high graduate, has been outspoken about his concerns regarding the investigation. He is asking when does hazing become sexual harassment, and when is locker room intimidation really criminal sexual assault?

"Whatever happened should not happen," he said. "It shouldn't be tolerated - it shouldn't go on at school."

Sources told FOX 2 the incident happened late Monday afternoon and by Tuesday the alleged perpetrators were suspended.

School officials will only say protocol following a serious incident is an immediate suspension followed by a hearing and recommendation to the board that could result in expulsion.

Here is what the superintendent said last week:

"Swift action was taken and (this) behavior will not be tolerated at Dearborn Public Schools," said Superintendent Dr. Glenn Maleyko:

Dearborn police say all of those involved are juveniles and once their investigation is complete the case will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for possible charges - meantime another rally is planned for Friday at 6 p.m. at Fordson High School.
