Man arrested after stabbing in New Haven
NEW HAVEN, Mich. (WJBK) - Deputies have arrested a 54-year-old New Haven man after a stabbing that happened Tuesday.
Tuesday morning, a customer walked into the Marathon gas station on Main Street and told the clerk he needed an ambulance and that he had been stabbed.
The victim, a 34-year-old man from new Haven, told deputies that he had been stabbed down the street and was able to tell deputies the name of the person that stabbed him. The victim had been stabbed in the left side of his back.
He was taken to the hospital and was treated for the wound and a punctured lung.
Deputies went down the street where the found the suspect, Vincent Romaniuk, and arrested him. Romaniuk was given a $20,000 bond and he remains in the Macomb County Jail. He's due back in court March 6.
