Man found dead in Walled Lake was tied to cinderblocks
WALLED LAKE, Mich. (WJBK) - The Walled Lake Police Department and the Oakland County Sheriff's Department said it is continuing to investigate the death of a man they said was found dead in a lake Wednesday and they said the man was tied to cinderblocks.
The Oakland County Sheriff was called to Walled Lake Wednesday around 3:45 p.m. to a report of a body discovered in the lake by a boater. Law enforcement arrived and found the man's body floating but said his legs were anchored to the bottom of the lake by cinderblocks.
According to the medical examiner, the man's death has been ruled a suicide.
Authorities said he was last seen Sunday morning around 6:30 when he launched a canoe into the lake.
According to authorities, they believe the body had been in the water for a couple of days. The man, a resident of Walled Lake, had been missing since Sunday. Police said he had battled suicidal tendencies in the past.

The man's car was found parked near the lake and cinder blocks were also found in the same parking lot.
