Man in critical condition after being shot on I-94 freeway

(WJBK) - Around 2:30 am, a driver traveling on I-94 near Van Dyke was shot. While in the vehicle, the driver and passenger heard a pop then the driver felt pain. 

He was able to exit the freeway and the passenger took over driving, and drove the victim to Receiving Hospital. 

The victim was listed in critical condition.

State Police detectives are attempting to locate any evidence or find out if this shooting actually took place on the freeway.
