Marjorie S. Fisher dies at 92
(WJBK) - The founder of the Max and Marjorie S. Fisher foundation, Marjorie S. Fisher, has died.
Fisher passed away Sunday morning at her home in Palm Beach, Florida, FOX 2 has learned. She was 92 years old.
Fisher was born in Louisville and moved to Detroit in 1953 before marrying her husband, Max.
Together they founded the Max and Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation, which has provided millions of dollars in grants to organizations in the Detroit area.
A public celebration of life will take place at the Max and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. inside the Orchestra Hall.
