NACTOY winners: Here are the best cars and trucks of the year
DETROIT (FOX 2) - As the Detroit Auto Show gets underway, the North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) winners were announced Friday morning.
Fifty automotive journalists voted on the vehicles. They focused on outstanding innovation, design, performance, driver satisfaction and value when deciding which vehicles are the best.
"The competition for these awards will be fierce this year," said NACTOY president and automotive reporter Jeff Gilbert. "We have a well-balanced crop of EVs, hybrids and gasoline-powered vehicles. It will be hard to narrow each category down to just one winner – they’re all great choices."
Honda, Ford, and Volkswagen all took home awards in 2025. It's the second year in a row that a Ford truck was honored with a NACTOY award. Last year, the Ford Super Duty won.
